Dear members, associate members, and future members of the GTFF,
The GTFF is undergoing some internal changes regarding our staff membership. Our long time organizer, David Cecil, was recently hired by AFT-Oregon and as of July 31st he is no longer working for us. We want to emphasize that his work ended on good terms and the executive board wishes David all the best in his future career with AFT-Oregon. David will still support the GTFF as a consultant regarding bargaining issues and contract negotiations.
However, as of August 1st the position as organizer has been vacant and the hiring committee consisting of Jacob Barto (VP-Operations), Dana Rognlie (VP-Communications) and Judith Lechner (President) have been busy reviewing applications and conducting interviews. We are hoping to fill this position by the end of August.
