With the University of Oregon administration propo With the University of Oregon administration proposing 0% raises for graduate employees for five years, in addition to more than doubling GEs’ monthly health insurance premiums, UO’s upper management are planning to help themselves to hundreds of dollars from every GE every year for the next five years. Research assistants need to be READY TO STRIKE if we want to keep our hard-earned pay and benefits, and for RAs, that means coming to a democratic consensus on what actions we will take in a strike. Join the RAGE (Research Assistant GE) Caucus on 9/16 from 5-7 PM in the GTFF office and on Zoom to deliberate and vote on what actions RAs will take in a strike. Food will be provided!

Also, be on the lookout for an assembly voter and participation guide soon! The packet will contain ideas from previous bargaining cycles for strike actions we might take, information on the rights of striking GEs, and other information useful for participating in the assembly.
