Union leadership is composed of the Executive Council, which includes the Executive Board, Stewards Council, and Caucus Council. GTFF is also aided by various Committees and two full-time Staff Members. See below for more information.
GTFF’s ten elected Board Members meet weekly to manage the daily operations of the Union.
Department Stewards represent GEs in their work area, organize new Members, monitor working conditions and contract abuses, and educate and mobilize Members around important issues.
GTFF is a diverse organization. Members with similar interests, concerns, or backgrounds take part in a variety of Caucuses to promote their interests inside and outside of the Union.
GTFF has a number of Committees which are responsible for different aspects of the Union, from negotiating the collective bargaining agreement and health insurance plan to organizing parties. Any Member may request to join a Committee.
GTFF has two full-time employees: Staff Organizer and Benefits Administrator. They are available as a resource to all GEs.
Meeting minutes are available by request through the GTFF office or by contacting our VP of Organizing.
