Based on a new agreement between GTFF and UO, international graduate students can now apply for summer funding from the Graduate Student Assistance Fund: you can apply for $500 now for summer living expenses and for another $500 on August 15th if there is still enough funding.
See the University of Oregon’s Graduate Student Assistance Fund webpage for application document and full details on eligibility – in short, to qualify you need to have been a GE in the 2020-21 Academic Year as part of a multi-year funding offer and can not currently have a summer GE position.
This is an expansion of the Graduate Student Assistance Fund, which provides UO graduate students with funding for a variety of needs and circumstances. See here for details and application information. Situations in which graduate students can qualify for the Graduate Student Assistance Fund include having a new child, having young children, you or a family member facing serious medical issues, visa expenditures relating to a funding extension, and financial needs relating to COVID-19 loss of work/work expenses.
