Online ballots for the strike authorization vote went out through our election system last night at around 7:30pm. This is your chance to vote whether or not to authorize your leadership (the executive board, on the recommendation of our fantastic bargaining committee) to call a strike if necessary to help us in the fight for a fair contract.
However, because of some problems with our database and some errors in the GE lists provided by the university, some of you may not have received ballots last night.
If you did not receive a voting link in an email last night, please fill out this survey with your name, personal email address, and your 95#.
Everyone's voice should be heard--make sure you're casting your vote!
Cast your vote in solidarity!
We may be voting online, but we're taking this action together--and we'd like the university as a whole to see that!
We'll be working in the EMU from 10 am until 2 pm tomorrow and Thursday! Come cast your ballot, pick up your "Ready to Strike" button, and make our strike authorization vote a visible event on-campus!
If you have questions about the vote, bargaining, or anything else, this is a great place to find some answers.
You can also bring your work, invite your undergrad students and other allies, and spend some time with your fellow GEs. We'll see you there!
In Solidarity Forever,
Rachel Hampton Vice President for Operations, GTFF
