Update on AFT-OR State Convention:
Our union celebrated numerous successes at this year’s AFT-Oregon convention!

Bargaining Survey
Every three years, we bargain our contract with the University. Next school year, we will begin to bargain again! 

We want YOU to fill out a quick survey about your priorities as a worker and as a student here at
University of Oregon. This is your chance to participate in the process of setting our bargaining priorities for the upcoming bargaining cycle.

Graduate Union Solidarity
Here's some news from other Graduate Employee Unions from across the country!

We send solidarity to our cousin graduate workers at the University of Washington, as they went on strike on May 15 for better working conditions for all!

We are staring down the face of JANUS and "right-to-work" which would severely limit our ability to collect fair-share dues. A decision could be handed down by the Supreme Court any day between now and June. To prepare for this, we are gathering forces ahead of the decision to stick to our union and say,

Please ask your department steward to sign a commitment card this week!

Freedom to Join
Organizing Blitz Update
We are on day 3 of 5 in our one week blitz to 80% membership and we are SO CLOSE. 

In one week we have managed to gain 10 new full members, and able to gather 60+ of commitment cards. 

We need just 13 new members to finally reach 80% membership!

Will you join us and sign up for a shift of door knocking? No experience necessary! 

Know of a friend in your department who hasn't signed a blue card? We have a brand new ONLINE MEMBERSHIP FORM they can easily fill out and join as a full member!.
